The MCG Weekend Show – Update!

For those who’ve missed Saturday Night’s showcase, you’ve missed some of the newest members of The MCG in action!

The show was to help promote Riverview High School’s new theater facilities, as well as raise funds for their theater department.
After checking out the new multi million dollar stage facility, we couldn’t believe that the school district wouldn’t assist more in the theater department’s efforts in utilizing the facility more.
(But we hear they like to have ‘movie nights’ on their big screen…)

But Saturday night’s show was put together by Riverview High’s Theater Instructor (And NEW MCG member) Allen Kretchmar… who did a fantastic job in coordinating the evening’s events.

The show started with comedienne “Miss ReJoyce” introducing the evening’s events, as The MCG took to the stage with Steve & J’s rendition of “Zombies”.

With various student sketches in between, The MCG integrated various audience participation bits (“The Great Dizwell” & “Divarella”) as well as the New Sketch “The Olivia Winfield Show”, Featuring Allen & Joyce.
– for those who listen to our podcasts, The Olivia Winfield Show sketch made it’s debut in the February Episode.

The MCG also performed classic bits which included “Married Men (In training)” and “The Blind Ballet”, as Steve & J tried to perform ballet blindfolded while dodging the horrifying “SNAP!” of open mouse traps that were scattered throughout the stage.

The show then ended with Allen (in his broadway voice) singing New York, New York
as the entire cast of Misplaced Members and Students formed a kick line.

Everyone in the audience had a blast, as they all hung out to meet everyone at the end of the night.
…And the Newest cast of Misplaced Players proved to be exactly what The MCG is all about.

For those old and new fans of The Misplaced Comedy Group, there will be plenty of new material coming your way in the very near future.
So keep listening to the new podcasts, videos, blogs… As the NEW CD should be made available sometime in July.
